“Be the type of Christian that, even if you don’t carry your Bible around, even if you don’t wear an “I love Jesus” shirt, even if you don’t tell anybody that you’re a Christian, it will be so evident in your actions and the way that you love others that you are.”—
how do you do it? live a life of christ all the time? isn't it really hard?
How can I not live a life of Christ all the time when Christ is the sole purpose of our existence here on Earth? He makes living easier. He reminds me that I am beautiful, that I am loved, and that I have a purpose. He gives me comfort, peace, leads me in the right direction. He has a life planned for me, bigger and better than I could ever imagine. I would rather live believing there is a God and die to find out there isin’t, then live believing there isin’t a God at all. He is the best thing in my life. The world is a cruel place and the only thing keeping me going, is God. The world is full of sin, I am full of sin, and I need him to cleanse me. He is perfect. Do you know how amazing it is, to know that He loves us so immensly it is beyond understanding? He created each and everyone of us with His own hands and in his perfect image, and that is what gives me the self-esteem and confidence to truly know I am beautiful.
Of course, life still gets hard and I lose track of what really matters sometimes. Just like any teenager, you may think giving your life to Christ will end the period in your life where you are able to “have fun.” But being a follower of Christ allows you to see there is so much more to fun than the sinful actions the world is filled with, such as sex, getting drunk, etc. So a mistake that many have made, and a thought that has crossed even my mind, is that i’ll just enjoy my life now, and go to Jesus later. Though, we should be living as if Christ could come at anytime. Ask yourself, “If Christ were to come now, would I be prepared?”
God has helped me to see the world from an entirely different view. I see endless possibilities and my heart is filled with love. He teaches us to love and that brings happiness to you and everyone you can affect in a positive way. He died on the cross for our sins and has saved us from all things evil. The least we can do is live a life in praise of the One who gave it all.
So, as far as living for Jesus, there is no half-way point. You either completely dedicate your entire life to Him, or not. Being a Christian Atheist- believing in God but living as if He doesn’t exist- will not get you anywhere. You can’t just go to church on Sundays and call yourself a Christian, being lukewarm is not what Jesus asks of us. You must live the Word. He wants all of us. We should continuesly be striving for more Jesus, and running towards Him with all we got. If you ever feel as if you are drifting away from God, remember that He is always right there and He wants you to come to Him. At times like that, say a prayer, and return to Jesus. He will forgive you. Always. Lastly, not every waking moment will be spent thinking about Jesus, because we do live in this world, but the more we strive to be with Jesus, and the more prayer, love, and thanksgiving, the better.
