thank you so much for caring. that really means a lot. i'm going to be okay, i just got some news that is kind of upsetting. to put a long story short- i just found out that someone i used to be very close to, and was in a pretty serious relationship with is engaged. it hurt that they didn't tell me (i saw it on facebook) i don't know, that sounds like nothing but it really hurt a whole lot. (you don't have to post this if you don't want haha) thanks for listening :) it's going to be fine. i just don't really know what to think right now.
Of course, I just wanted to make sure you were okay. :)
If two people are meant to be, they will end up together no matter what, although it was wrong for him to become engaged while being in a relationship with you, be thankful because now you found out he is not the right one early enough.
I hope I was some help.
You’re in my prayers, God bless you.
Make it so passionate and so life-consuming that all those around you won’t be able to help but notice. Walk with Christ in your step. Spread His love all around and you will learn to love yourself. Be that person that when someone even just looks into your eyes they see Christ. Be that person…
“God doesn’t want religious duty. He doesn’t want a distracted, half-hearted “Fine, I’ll read a chapter…now are You happy?” attitude. God wants His word to be a delight to us, so much so that we meditate on it day and night.”—Francis Chan (Crazy Love)
““Look Daughter, and learn how to love” and He showed me His five open wounds. “Do you see this cross, these thorns, these nails, these bruises, these tears, these wounds, this blood? They are all works of love; of infinite love. Do you see how much I have loved you? Do you really want to love Me? Then first learn how to suffer. It is by suffering that one learns how to love”.”—From “The Autobiography of St. Gemma Galgani” (via noryandfely) (via ourdailybread) (via 1corinthians1510) (via led-by-his-spirit) (via impassionedbychrist) (via godyoumakemesmile)
“No man will ever claim you unless he claims you from Me. For I reserved a man for you who has My heart and loves Me even more than he will ask for you. For I won’t give you unless he asks you from Me. He’s asleep; don’t wake him. He’s busy for Me, My kingdom….

Ok so I should really be asleep right now but when God’s pulling at you’re heart and making something more and more real you just have to share it. So here it is…
A word of advice, stop short changing yourself. Stop telling yourself that you are worthless. Stop telling yourself that you’re ugly. Stop telling yourself you’re dumb. Stop telling yourself you should just take what you can get and be happy with it. Stop settling. Stop believing lies.
Do you know that you believe more of what you tell yourself than anything anyone else says to you? How different would our self image be if instead of saying “I look like crap today” we said “I’m beautiful”. If we said “I’m special” instead of “I’m invisible”. If we stopped saying “I’m worthless” and started BELIEVING “I’m worth it”? How much better would we feel about ourselves?
I used to think I wasn’t worth it. I used to think I should just take what I can get and hope that I would end up happy with it. (By the way that ended up being boys that walked all over me and treated me like dirt. Note: I said boys NOT men. Because a REAL man does not do that.) I spent years of my life just settling. I would go into a relationship knowing that it would end but thinking that I should just enjoy it while it lasts because there probably wouldn’t be another one after it. What kind of a mindset is that? I thought so little of myself. I slipped into saddness, lonliness, unhealthy eating or lack there of, and anxiety. All because I didn’t understand my worth. I didn’t understand my own beauty. In fact I didn’t know what real beauty was.
Let me just say when I was growing up I absolutely hated the saying “Beauty is on the inside.” I could be as nice as possible to a person and they would still pick the “pretty” girl. You could tell me beauty is on the inside until your face turned blue and I still would not believe you.
But guess what? Beauty is on the inside. Don’t hit the back arrow, just hear me out. When you believe that you’re beautiful, when you truly believe you’re worth pursuing whole heartedly it radiates to the outside. How do you believe that? By believing what God says about you.
Like a lily among thorns is my darling among maidens. - Song of Solomon 2:2
My dove in the clefts of the rock, in the hiding places on the mountainside, show me your face, let me hear your voice; for your voice is sweet, and your face is lovely. -Song of Solomon 2:14
All beautiful you are my darling; there is no flaw in you. -Song of Solomon 4:7
You have stolen my heart, my sister, my bride; you have stolen my heart with one glance of your eyes, with one jewel of your necklace. -Song of Solomon 4:9
How delightful is your love, my sister, my bride! How much more pleasing is your love than wine, and the fragrance of your perfume than any spice! - Song of Solomon 4:10
Sixty queens there may be, and eighty concubines, and virgins beyond number; but my dove, my perfect one, is unique, the only daughter of her mother, the favorite of the one who bore her, The maidens saw her and called her blessed; the queens and concubines praised her. - Song of Solomon 6:8-9
If you take nothing else from this post take special note of this: All of those verses, all of those beautiful things, God says them about you. Put your own name in the verses and see how real it feels. And he doesn’t just say it once. He says it to you EVERY DAY! Every single day, he is romancing you. Every day he is pursuing you. Those beautiful wildflowers you see on the side of the road, that peaceful beach, beautiful sunset, breath taking sunrise, awe inspiring mountain side, bright blue sky, yeah that’s for you. Try to top gifts like that, I dare you. God is romancing and pursuing you. He sees you as beautiful. He sees you as special. He sees you as worth it. If the Creator of the universe says that about you, why don’t you start saying it about yourself?
It’s time to snap out of it. It’s time for the pity party to end and time for the praise party to begin. It’s time to stop lying to yourself. You hate when other people lie to you yet you will do it to yourself at LEAST once a day. Stop it. You ARE graceful. You ARE inviting. You ARE special. You ARE awe inspiring. You ARE smart. You ARE worth pursuing. And you DO deserve the very best, don’t settle for anything else. Don’t you know you’re beautiful. (BTW this song JUST came on the radio, very fitting. Go listen to it. Don’t you know you’re beautiful by kellie pickler.)
Greatest man in history named Jesus, had no servants, yet they called Him Master. Had no degree, yet they called Him Teacher. Had no medicines, yet they called Him Healer. Had no army, yet kings feared Him. He won no military battles, yet He conquered the world. He committed no crime, yet they crucified Him. He was buried in a tomb, yet He lives today. Reblog if you believe Jesus is the reason for the season.
“There is this false twisted idea out there among religious people that somehow you gotta have it all together to have a relationship with God, that like somehow God’s only looking for people who have no problems, and have it all nailed down, and can put on like the happy face all the time. Yet the scriptures speak directly against this kind of thinking. I mean Jesus is just straight ahead and said “come to me all you who are weary and heavy laden”. I mean the essence of salvation is crying out to God and admitting “I don’t have it all together,” its admitting “I am lost, I am hurting, and this sinful nature that I carry around with me have really screwed things up for me, and God if you don’t show me the way home, if you don’t fix thing if you don’t step in, I am dying here. And this kind of thinking is all through out the scripture, its over and over again God says to us “When you come to me, you come to me with all your junk, you come to me with your problems, come to me all screwed up all messed up, let me take care of it. Jesus, even sets out looking for people, He even says this; He says “I’m not looking for the healthy, I come for the sick.””—Rob Bell (Rain)
“Just think, you’re not here by chance, but by GOD’s choosing. He has hand formed you and made you the person you are. He compares you to no one else - you are ONE OF A KIND. You lack nothing that His GRACE can’t give you. He has allowed you to be here at this time in history to fulfill His special purpose for this generation.”—Roy Lessin (via nonelikejesus)
